The practice
Zoon began with a simple conviction: one clear architectural idea should carry from the first sketch into the details, materials and decisions that shape the finished space.
Founded in Istanbul in 2013, the practice brings architecture, interior design, technical development, furniture production and project coordination into one connected process. Our work includes homes, workplaces, retail and hospitality environments in Türkiye and abroad.
For international furnishing clients, that connection reduces the gaps between drawings, manufacturers and delivery. We define the scope honestly, coordinate the relevant producers and remain accountable through one client relationship.

How we are built
The concept is only the beginning. We develop the spatial idea alongside the technical questions, material decisions and realities that determine how a project will be made.

Spatial planning, concept, material language and interior decisions are developed as one architectural whole.

The design is translated into coordinated drawings, details and decisions that can be discussed, priced and built.

Where commissioned, production, procurement and site responsibilities are defined clearly and kept connected to the approved design.
For international clients
Working in another country can create uncertainty around people, process and implementation. Our role is to turn that uncertainty into a defined architectural path without making promises beyond the agreed scope.

People behind the practice
The studio is shaped by architectural education and project experience across Türkiye and Europe, combined with close attention to how projects are actually made and delivered locally.

Founder & Architect
Emre Ozan Acar studied architecture at Yıldız Technical University and pursued postgraduate studies at TU Wien, where he also worked with architectural practices for five years. After returning to Türkiye, he founded Zoon in 2013 and has continued to combine architectural practice with teaching and research.

Architect & Artzoon Founder
Sanem Coşan Acar studied architecture at Yıldız Technical University and spent a year as a guest student at the University of Konstanz. Her experience spans architecture and project management for established retail, banking and commercial brands, bringing a practical commercial-space and property perspective to the studio.
